A bookkeeping website should book the call before the deadline.
It's the middle of April in Brampton, a contractor's receipts are in a shoebox, and April 30 is close. They search for a bookkeeper or ask ChatGPT for an accountant who works with trades, and they want three things fast: what you charge, whether you handle their kind of business, and a time to talk this week.

A bookkeeping and tax website we built from scratch
Fair Copy Bookkeeping & Tax is a business we made up. The website is real and finished.
A classic site with no scroll animation. Tax season is set out on a printed calendar with the deadlines circled.
The price list comes before anything else, then the tax season on one page with every deadline marked, a list of what to bring for each kind of client, and a free 15-minute call you can book online.

When ChatGPT picks a bookkeeper, it's looking for a good fit.
AI tools match people with bookkeepers and accountants by reading who you serve, your services and fees, and where you are. “Full-service accounting solutions” gives them nothing. “Bookkeeping and HST for contractors and restaurants in Peel” gives them a match.
Behind the page, we describe your practice to search engines as an accounting service, listing your languages, location, hours and services, so that match is easy to make.
These Brampton bookkeepers work with self-employed contractors and list their prices:
- Ledgerline BookkeepingTheir website shows monthly packages with prices, HST filing included, with a free call you can book online.
- Peel Ledger & TaxWorks with trades and contractors, and lists the CRA deadlines they handle for clients.
- Northbound AccountingA CPA firm that's well reviewed for small business tax. Customers mention clear explanations, in English and Punjabi.

What a bookkeeping or accounting website needs
Nobody shops for a bookkeeper when things are going smoothly. They're behind, worried or starting something new, and they want to know quickly that you can help and what it will cost.
Prices, or a clear starting point
Monthly bookkeeping packages, a price for a personal return, a starting price for corporate returns. Fixed prices take the fear out of calling an accountant.
Who you work with
Contractors, restaurants, landlords, newcomers, rideshare drivers. Name them. People and AI tools both look for someone who knows their situation.
The deadlines
April 30 for most personal returns, June 15 for the self-employed to file (with any balance still due April 30), and your clients' HST and payroll dates. A deadline calendar is useful, and it gives people a reason to book now.
A call they can book
A button to book a short intro call at a time that suits them, with no form to fill in first. It's the step between “I should sort this out” and becoming a client.
Your credentials, worded carefully
If you're a CPA, say so and point to CPA Ontario's member directory. If you're a bookkeeper, say what you do and what you don't. In Ontario, only CPA Ontario members can call themselves CPAs.
A safe way to send documents
A link to the secure client portal you already use, rather than asking people to email their SIN and T4s. It reassures a new client before they send anything.
What we change on a bookkeeper's or accountant's website
Accounting and bookkeeping sites often share these problems.
| Your site now | Your new site |
|---|---|
| “Contact us for a consultation” and no prices. | Packages and starting prices on the page, so people can tell what you'll cost before they call. |
| A list of services that could belong to any firm. | The kinds of clients you serve, by name, with what you do for each. |
| A contact form that goes to a general inbox. | A booking link for a short call, with times people choose themselves. |
| Documents collected by email. | A link to your secure portal, and a checklist of what to bring for each kind of return. |
| No mention of the languages you speak. | English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu: whichever languages you work in, said plainly on the homepage. |
What it costs
We'll design your new website for free. You only pay if you like it.
Choose a new website, or keep the site you have and let us fix it for AI search. Everyone pays the same prices, so you'll know the cost before we start.
Most practices fit in five pages: a homepage, bookkeeping and payroll, personal and business tax, prices, and a booking page with your address.
The tune-up covers your business details for AI tools, answers to the questions customers ask, an llms.txt file, crawler access, page titles and descriptions, and your Google Business Profile.
New website
Keep your current site
Optional, with either
Half the website price is due when you approve the preview and the rest when the site goes live. If you need more than five pages, we'll quote it before we start. The tune-up is paid when we start. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus tax.
Questions about websites for bookkeepers and accountants
Should a bookkeeper or accountant list prices?
Most clients want at least a starting point. Monthly packages for bookkeeping and fixed prices for common returns work well. For complex work, a “from” price and what changes it is enough.
Can clients upload documents through the website?
We link to the secure portal you already use, like the one in your practice software. We don't recommend collecting tax documents through a website form or email, and the site can tell clients why.
Can the site show the tax deadlines?
Yes. A deadline calendar for the year, with the dates that matter to your clients. The care plan covers updating it each season, so it never shows last year's dates.
I'm a bookkeeper, not a CPA. How do we word that?
Plainly. We'll describe what you do, like bookkeeping, payroll, HST and personal returns, without words that suggest you're a CPA. In Ontario, that designation belongs to CPA Ontario members.
Can the site be in more than one language?
Yes. We can say which languages you work in on every page, and add translated pages if your clients would use them. We'll quote extra pages before we start.

Tell us your firm's name and who you work with. We'll set out your prices, deadlines and a bookable call on a new homepage, and send you the private link. If you'd rather keep your current site, ask for an AI search tune-up instead.
