A plumbing website has to work when there's water on the floor.
A pipe lets go under the kitchen sink on a Sunday in Hamilton. The homeowner is standing in water with a phone in one hand, looking for a plumber who'll actually answer, and for how to shut the water off. The plumber whose site has a number they can tap, and says they come out today, gets the job.

A plumbing website we built from scratch
Weir & Daughters is a business we made up. The website is real and finished.
Water runs through a drawn house to a burst fitting as you scroll, then a yellow shut-off tag swings in with what to do first.
It opens with a 24-hour number and keeps it in reach. Then it tells a homeowner what to do while the plumber drives over, lists what common repairs usually cost, and explains each step after the call, down to the text when the tech leaves.

People now ask ChatGPT for a plumber. It names a few and skips the rest.
AI tools build their answer from plumbers' websites, Google listings and reviews. They look for facts they can repeat: that you do water heaters, that you answer at night, which parts of the city you cover. A website that only says “quality service you can trust” gives them nothing to work with.
Part of what we build is invisible: a description of your company in the structured format search engines use, marked as a plumber, with your hours, neighbourhoods and emergency line spelled out for them.
Here are three Hamilton plumbers who say they offer same-day water heater repair:
- Stoneyridge Plumbing & DrainTheir website says they answer around the clock and shows a flat call-out price, so you know the cost before they arrive.
- Mountain Brow PlumbingLicensed plumbers who repair and replace tank and tankless water heaters, with a page listing the brands they service.
- Leckie & Sons PlumbingFamily-run, with reviews that mention tidy work and a written price before they start.

What a plumbing website needs
Some of your calls are emergencies and some can wait a week. A good plumbing site handles both, without making either kind of customer hunt.
A number that dials, everywhere
Never more than a thumb away, on every page. If you answer 24 hours, say so right beside it. If you don't, give your hours and what to do after them.
What to do before you arrive
Where the main shut-off usually is, how to turn off a water heater, when to call the gas company instead. It helps people in a bad moment, and it's the kind of plain, useful answer AI tools can quote.
Prices for common jobs
A call-out fee, or a “from” price for a toilet, a drain or a water heater, helps people choose you over the plumber who won't say. If every job is different, explain how you price instead.
Your licence, in writing
Plumbing is a compulsory trade in Ontario, so customers can look you up on Skilled Trades Ontario's public register. Say you're licensed and insured, and name the licence.
The jobs that can wait
Drain cleaning, fixture installs, sump pumps, backwater valves. Give each its own section so someone researching on a Tuesday can book a visit without phoning.
Programs your city runs
If you install backwater valves and your city subsidizes them, like Hamilton's Protective Plumbing Program, say so and link to the city's page. It answers a question people already have.
What we change on a plumber's website
Most of what we fix on a plumber's site falls into one of these.
| Your site now | Your new site |
|---|---|
| The only phone number is inside the header image. | A number that stays in reach as people scroll on a phone, with “We answer 24 hours” beside it if that's true. |
| One “Services” page listing twenty things in a row. | Water heaters, drains and sump pumps each explained on their own, so a search for one of them finds the right answer. |
| “Call for a quote” under every service. | A call-out fee or “from” prices for common jobs, or a plain explanation of how you price. |
| No mention of a licence or insurance. | Your licence and insurance near the call button, with a link to the public register. |
| A contact form that asks for a name, an email and a “message”. | Questions that matter to you: what's wrong, is water still running, and a picture if they can take one. |
What it costs
We'll design your new website for free. You only pay if you like it.
Choose a new website, or keep the site you have and let us fix it for AI search. Everyone pays the same prices, so you'll know the cost before we start.
Five pages suits most plumbers: the emergency number up front on the homepage, repairs, water heaters, drains and sewers, and where you work. Heating can replace one of those if you do it.
The tune-up covers your business details for AI tools, answers to the questions customers ask, an llms.txt file, crawler access, page titles and descriptions, and your Google Business Profile.
New website
Keep your current site
Optional, with either
Half the website price is due when you approve the preview and the rest when the site goes live. If you need more than five pages, we'll quote it before we start. The tune-up is paid when we start. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus tax.
Questions about plumbing websites
Should we put prices on the website?
You don't have to price every job. A call-out fee, or a “from” price for the jobs you do every week, is usually enough to help people pick you. If you'd rather not show numbers, we'll explain how you quote, so it doesn't look like you're hiding them.
Can the site say we're licensed?
It should. We'll name your licence and insurance near the call button and link to Skilled Trades Ontario's public register, where anyone can check that a plumber is licensed.
We also do heating. Can that go on the same site?
Yes. A plumbing and heating company can have a page for each, and the business details AI tools read will list both, so a furnace question can find you as well as a plumbing one.
Can customers send photos of the problem?
Yes. People can attach pictures straight from their phone, and they reach you with the address and a description, so you can often tell whether it's a quick fix before you go.
Can the site show that we answer 24 hours?
Yes, if it's true. It goes beside the phone number and into the opening hours search engines pick up. If you only answer some nights, we'll say exactly which, so nobody calls at 3 am expecting a truck.
We'll design your new website for free. You only pay if you like it.
Give us the name on your van. We'll put your emergency number, your service area and your best reviews on a new homepage, and send you the link to look at between calls. If you'd rather keep your current site, ask for an AI search tune-up instead.
