How we rebuilt the Jeepy Doggies website

Jeepy Doggies is Abraham and Max's dog walking and boarding business in Toronto's east end. Their old Wix site was built on a Spanish-language template that was never fully converted. The new site replaced it on 20 August 2026, and its current version went live on 7 October 2026.

Old site, then new. AI search readiness and speed are scores out of 100, and the time is how long the homepage takes to show on a phone.

What Abraham and Max needed

Abraham and Max meet every dog before the first walk, so they didn't want online booking. They wanted east end dog owners to see their prices and real photos of the dogs they look after, then send a message.

Their clients' reviews had to stay in the clients' own words, and the site had to sound like the two of them.

What was wrong with the old site

The old Jeepy Doggies homepage on a computer: a cartoon logo of dogs in a black Jeep in front of the Toronto skyline, and a black panel with the words Join the pack, a Message us on WhatsApp button and a short description. The old Jeepy Doggies homepage on a smaller phone: the logo, a black panel where the Join the pack heading is barely visible, a WhatsApp button, and call, email and Facebook icons along the bottom.
The old Wix homepage.
  • The site was built on a Spanish-language Wix template that was never fully converted, and some page names were still in Spanish.
  • When we checked in August 2026, the business details Wix shares with AI assistants still held the template's placeholders: a Mexican phone number, the email info@sitio.com and the name "Jeppy Doggies".
  • Pages said "Book Online", but online booking was switched off for every service, so the calendar couldn't take a booking.
  • The homepage's description in search results offered doggy daycare, which they don't do.
  • On the first screen, the "Join the pack" heading was dark grey on black and hard to read.
  • An AI search readiness audit on 20 August 2026 scored the site 57 out of 100. Its lowest marks were 35 for the signals AI tools use to cite a business and 40 for content they can quote as answers.

What we built

The new Jeepy Doggies homepage on a computer: the headline Dog walks, beach days and boarding in Toronto's east end, WhatsApp and services buttons, and a stack of photos of their dogs with Dolly the yellow Lab on top.The new Jeepy Doggies homepage on a phone: the headline, a short description, the photo stack with Dolly on top, and WhatsApp, Text and Call buttons along the bottom.
  • Their dogs on the first screen

The homepage opens with a stack of photos of dogs they look after, each with a name tag. The top photo changes every few seconds, and you can pause it, swipe it or use the arrow keys.

  • A map of where they walk

As you scroll, their route draws itself along Queen East from Harbourfront to The Beaches, the neighbourhoods light up, and Cherry Beach gets its own card.

  • A message from any page

Buttons open WhatsApp with the message already written, and on phones a bar at the bottom offers WhatsApp, text and call. There's no online booking, because they meet every dog first.

  • Prices up front

Each service has its own page and starting price: private walks from $30, Cherry Beach group walks from $35, boarding in their own home from $90 a day and pet sitting from $100 a day, plus HST.

  • 17 questions answered

The FAQ answers 17 questions clients ask, from what the price includes to whether they're insured, in a form Google and AI tools can read.

  • Their clients' words, and the right details

Four client reviews from the old Wix site appear in full, the old Wix addresses lead to the new pages, and the business details AI tools read are now correct.

Before and after

We ran the same AI search readiness audit on the old Wix site on the day it was replaced, and on the new site in October. Wix's own speed report shows how the old homepage loaded on a phone.

Our website check opens the new site without trouble, and so do the crawlers ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity use. We checked on 14 October 2026.
